Our Year 7 students went on a four-day Connect Camp, an experience designed to build empathy, community connection and an understanding of the challenges faced by others.
Through student-led fundraising efforts including Tuesday Treats, Fairy Bread Friday, the Colour Run and Footy Friday, the cohort has raised $955 for Telethon and donated $106 worth of essential supplies to the Dogs Refuge Home.
During the camp, students volunteered at Foodbank WA, visited Ronald McDonald House and Perth Children’s Hospital, learned from volunteers at the Dogs Refuge Home, attended Telethon events, used public transport, and take part in activities that encourage independence, budgeting and teamwork.
The Connect Camp reflects our commitment to being Intentional, Individual and Innovative, providing meaningful opportunities for students to give back, broaden their perspectives and make a positive contribution to the wider community. We were very proud of our Year 7 students ??
